Naggie Mini: The Little Guardian of Bueng Kan
Naggie is more than just a piggy bank; it is a creative masterpiece born from a deep-rooted faith in the Naga, the mythical serpent of the Mekong River. This "cute and cuddly" (Ta-mu-ta-mi) representation blends local cultural heritage with the traditional way of life along the Mekong to serve as a storyteller and official mascot for Bueng Kan Province.
Art with a Purpose
Developed by the Naggie Social Enterprise Group, this project aims to revitalize the local economy and provide a brighter future for the next generation. Our mission focuses on three key pillars:
Empowering Vulnerable Youth: Proceeds from Naggie are dedicated to supporting novice monks and underprivileged children, ensuring they have access to education, nutritious meals, and a warm place to sleep.
Strengthening the Foundation: We use creative art to boost tourism and stimulate the grassroots economy, turning cultural faith into sustainable income for the province.
Sustainable Community Growth: We are paving the way for Bueng Kan to become a premier destination on the "Naga Trail." By attracting visitors, we create local jobs, foster new careers, and ensure the community can thrive independently.
Our Vision
Every Naggie Mini is a symbol of shared opportunity. By bringing home a piece of our faith, you are helping us build a sustainable community where children can learn and grow, and where the spirit of the Mekong continues to flourish.
"From faith to art, from art to a better life for our children."
